Grand Rapids Bus Tour Mrs. McMahon reported that residents had not responded to the letter the Commission mailed regarding this tour. It was, therefore, decided to cancel the tour at this time. County Funds John Oxian suggested the Commission use a sum of money allocated for the County Survey to do a partial survey in the city. Ms. Davisson suggested that perhaps college students -would be available to do such a survey. 10. New Business Ms. Sporleder discussed the categories for designating of historic landmarks. She said there should be stringent regulations for renovations, especially in regard to the - Certificate of Appropriateness. She said Commission mem- bers do not have the expertise to make such decisions. She said she would like to make a motion to establish an - advisory board made up of professionals. It was suggest- ed that the Commission check with Mr. Jack Dunfee if the Commission can legally set up such a body. 11. Hearing of Visitors Mrs. Doyle said she wanted to see copies of the revised ordinance before the Commission votes on it. Dir. Smith remarked that the Commission would do its best to get these to her. 12. Announcements and Miscellaneous Matters There were no announcements or other matters. 13. Adjournment Mr. Stivers made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. Ms. Sporleder seconded this motion and it passed unanimously.
