September 15; 1975 <br />Page 6. <br />Historic Plan - <br />There - <br />was no report at this time on the historic plan; - <br />Education -Plan <br />There was no report at this time on the education plan. <br />Grand Rapids Bus Tour <br />Mrs. McMahon reported that residents had not responded to <br />the letter the Commission mailed regarding this tour. It <br />was, therefore, decided to cancel the tour at this time. <br />County Funds <br />John Oxian suggested the Commission use a sum of money <br />allocated for the County Survey to do a partial survey <br />in the city. Ms. Davisson suggested that perhaps college <br />students -would be available to do such a survey. <br />10. New Business <br />Ms. Sporleder discussed the categories for designating of <br />historic landmarks. She said there should be stringent <br />regulations for renovations, especially in regard to the - <br />Certificate of Appropriateness. She said Commission mem- <br />bers do not have the expertise to make such decisions. <br />She said she would like to make a motion to establish an - <br />advisory board made up of professionals. It was suggest- <br />ed that the Commission check with Mr. Jack Dunfee if the <br />Commission can legally set up such a body. <br />11. Hearing of Visitors <br />Mrs. Doyle said she wanted to see copies of the revised <br />ordinance before the Commission votes on it. Dir. Smith <br />remarked that the Commission would do its best to get <br />these to her. <br />12. Announcements and Miscellaneous Matters <br />There were no announcements or other matters. <br />13.
