She further discussed the $5,000 <br />_ which could now be used to get extra, material from the Crum=- <br />lish/Sporleder firm relative to the County Survey. Ms. Davi- <br />sson said that Mr. Crumlish could provide the Commission with <br />a detailed map showing all the surveyed landmarks. He could -- <br />also provide a small brochure regarding St. Joseph County his- <br />tory. Mrs. McMahon then advised that copies of the survey <br />forms should be made as soon as possible. <br />Mrs. McMahon then told the Commission that she would no longer <br />be able to serve in the capacity of Consultant as her husband <br />has-been tolled to Washington in November. She submitted the <br />resume of Walter Rinderle and advised the Commission,,toaappoint <br />him to serve the remainder of this year. Por. Rinderle was.in- <br />vited to this meeting and would be available to begin work on <br />November 1st. Mr. F. Jay Nimtz made a motion that a special <br />committee be appointed to interview applicants. A discussion <br />ensued that the Commission did not have any time to conduct <br />interviews. The motion failed for lack of a second. It was - <br />then moved by Ms. SporAeder that Mr. Rinderle be given a con- <br />tract for the two remaining months of 1975 and this was se- <br />conded by Mr. Oxian. It passed unanimously. <br />Mrs. McMahon then wanted suggestions as to a policy for the <br />lending of materials from the Commission office to other agencies <br />or interested persons. Mr. Jack Smith then suggested that this <br />project be given to the new Consultant and that he should re- <br />port on this at the next meeting. <br />8. Old Business <br />Community Development Funds <br />This was discussed under Correspondence with reference to <br />the letter from 11r. Hojnacki. <br />National Trust Meetings <br />President Smith had no report on this at this time. <br />Annual Report <br />In the absence of 1.1r. Al Stivers, there was no report in this <br />area. <br />National Park Service - Historic Preservation Grant <br />This was discussed previously. <br />9. New Business <br />Mr. Oxian urged that the Commission recommend that immediate <br />action be taken to replace the head of the Civil War Veteran <br />
