May 12, 1975 Page 3 President Smith referred to a letter, dated April 23, from Wendy Causon Schlereth regarding her contract termination and resignation as of June 30, 1975. Mr. Smith had many fine things to say about the value Ms. Schlereth has been to the work of the Commission. He referred to the favorable interview with Dr. Lois McMahon who was interested in the position under the same contractual basis as Ms. Schlereth. It was agreed that she be considered for the position. 6. Committee Reports Budget and Finance Mr. Oxian announced that he wants to call a meeting with - Messrs. Stivers and Catanzarite in order to draw up a bud- get which will be submitted to the County and City and ar- ranged to set a date following this evening's meeting. Historic Districts Mr. Nimtz reported that the attendance at the Firehouse meetings was somewhat sporatic, but the response of those in attendance had been of interest. He had no further report. Historic Landmarks Mr. Oxian reported that Mr. Braden of the Oddfellows Association wants their building declared an historic landmark. He also wants 905 West Colfax and 1205 Foster equally designated. The latter building should be so considered because it was the first totally electric house in the area. Mr. Nimtz felt there was nothing historically significant about the Colfax property. The Committee will investigate the Oddfellows building and make recommendations. Legal The Legal Committee had nothing to report. Public Relations and Education Ms. Schlereth reported that the public information flyers which the Commission had printed were distributed before - the last meeting in Chapin Park and would also be distri- buted before the second meeting at St. Paul's Church. Presidential Report President Smith had nothing to report. Consultant's Report Ms. Schlereth reported that -the typewriter is"in need of repair. She requested approval of such repair.
