Survey Develop a simple inventory form in cooperation with other local, state, and national agencies concerned with historic preservation. Survey all structures of the city; evaluate those of general significance and enter data on survey forms. The information included on the survey forms is that neces- sary to identify the structure (name, ownership, location, date, etc.), to describe the structure (style, condition, mate- rials, etc.), and evaluate the structure (superior, average_, etc.). When the structure is rated highly or has particularly interesting detail, appropriate description will be added which f will support the nomination of the structure for registration. The survey form will include space for further research infor- mation and will serve as the basic data file which can be expan- ded as other information is contributed. Mapping The results of the survey will be mapped on base maps as avai- lable by the Area Plan Commission. Recommendations The findings will be evaluated and future action recommended; such as the establishment of districts or single sites, whether of local, state, or national significance. STUDY RESULTS The results of the survey will be entered on 3% x 14 file cards. Each significant structure will have a separate card which will include the information previously mentioned, a black and white photograph if merited, and if exceptional, a color slide.
