' s <br />Department of Human Resources and <br />Economic Development <br />July 3, 1975 <br />Page 2 <br />i <br />buildings and sites. <br />Survey <br />Develop a simple inventory form in cooperation with other <br />local, state, and national agencies concerned with historic <br />preservation. <br />YftL� CI) <br />�, (o cw "XZ, &UAtw <br />0_.("o, 0" "un? - <br />Review all existing, pertinent and previously collected date <br />available from other sources. <br />Survey all structures of the city; evaluate those of general <br />significance and enter data on survey forms. <br />The information included on the survey forms is that neces- <br />sary to identify the structure (name, ownership, location, <br />date, etc.), to describe the structure (style, condition, mate- <br />rials, etc.), and evaluate the structure (superior, average_, <br />etc.). When the structure is rated highly or has particularly <br />interesting detail, appropriate description will be added which f <br />will support the nomination of the structure for registration. <br />The survey form will include space for further research infor- <br />mation and will serve as the basic data file which can be expan- <br />ded as other information is contributed. <br />Mapping <br />The results of the survey will be mapped on base maps as avai- <br />lable by the Area Plan Commission. <br />Recommendations <br />The findings will be evaluated and future action recommended; <br />such as the establishment of districts or single sites, whether <br />of local, state, or national significance. <br />STUDY RESULTS <br />The results of the survey will be entered on 3% x 14 file cards. Each <br />significant structure will have a separate card which will include the <br />information previously mentioned, a black and white photograph if <br />merited, and if exceptional, a color slide.
