Re-submittion of proposal to the Indiana Committee for the Humanities The Prospectus was re -written to try to get away from "advocacy" in an attempt to get Committee funding. Mrs. Price suggested that an architect or city planner be included under the Academic Humanists to speak at the workshop/discussions. Mr. Oxian moved to accept the Prospectus. Mr. Nimtz seconded the motion and it was passed unanimously. h. Standards A discussion of standards was tabled pending a meeting with Brian Crumlish. i. Trips and Education Mrs. Davisson reported that she had contacted the Park Avenue Association but had not received any reply. A discussion of possible trips ensued. Mrs. Sporleder suggested that we might accompany the Notre Dame architecture students on one of their trips. Alternate plans to visit Pittsburgh; Marshall, Michigan or Columbus, Indiana were discussed. Mrs. Price apprised the Commission of a Mid -West Preservation meeting at Madison, Wisconsin on October 25th, concentrating on historic preservation districting. The deadline for registration is October 18th and the fee is $15.00. j. Darden Road Bridge Report Mrs. Sporleder read the report prepared in 1972 for the state survey. It is the oldest bridge in the area, originally located at LaSalle Street and moved up the river in the 1930s. Mrs. Sporleder moved that the Darden Road Bridge be recommended to the Landmarks Committee to document the bridge and prepare a plan of action on what needs to be done to preserve the structure. Mr. Nimtz seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The Historic Landmarks Committee will report at the next meeting. k. Historic Landmarks Committee Report Mr. Oxian led a brief discussion on the status of the Kresge building.
