March 1st in Annapolis, Maryland <br />a conference on administration of a revolving fund; and <br />one in April or May in Seattle on local development <br />funding from federal revenue sharing funds.. <br />6. Correspondence <br />Mr. Smith read a letter from Johnson, Johnson & Roy <br />dated October 1, 1974, stating that they would extend <br />their deadline for accepting their proposal sixty (60) <br />days. <br />Mr. Smith then read a letter from the Board of Public <br />Works, dated October 7,.1974, in response to the letter <br />sent by the Commission regarding the older type street <br />lights. Mr. Oxian reported that in Seattle they are <br />replacing,the incandescent lights with mercury vapor in <br />the old fixtures. Ms. Davisson suggested that another <br />letter be sent to the Board of Public Works with this <br />information. <br />Mr. Smith read a letter from D <br />Assistant Professor of America <br />of Notre Dame, inviting members <br />conference to be held Nov. 8-9 <br />American Revolution and After: <br />7. Committee Reports <br />Dr Thomas J. Schlereth, <br />American <br />Studies at the University <br />of the Commission to a <br />at Notre Dame on "The <br />A Bicentennial Perspective. <br />a. Budget and Finance Committee <br />Ms. Davisson reported on a meeting she had with <br />Mr. Hojnacki. He said that the Commission should <br />write a letter to his office formally requesting <br />federal revenue sharing funds. She also stated <br />that the Commission might be able to hook into <br />the Community Development program. <br />Mr. Smith urged that the city be prodded to <br />contribute their share twoards the Commission's <br />objectives. <br />Ms. Davisson moved that Mr. Hojnacki be invited to <br />attend the next meeting to discuss Community Dev- <br />elopment. Mr. Nimtz seconded the motion and it <br />passed unanimously. Mr. Oxian moved that a letter <br />be sent to the County Commissioners requesting <br />that we be included in their plans for the disburse- <br />ment of Community Development funds. Mr. Nimtz <br />seconded the motion and it passed. <br />b. Historic Districts Committee <br />Mr. Nimtz stated that the standards had already <br />been presented by Mr. Crumlish. <br />
