NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />L continued... <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. Hunt and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 1383 <br />determining to pay certain expenses incurred <br />for local public improvements in or serving <br />the Sample -Ewing Allocation Area (South <br />Bend Allocation Area No. 8) from the <br />Sample -Ewing Allocation Area (South Bend <br />Allocation Area No. 8) Special Fund. <br />g. Commission approval requested for Release <br />of Homesteading Agreement for property at <br />517 E. Calvert Street. <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that under the terms of <br />the Homesteading Agreement, the owner of a <br />property must repair and occupy the home for <br />five years in order to obtain title to the <br />property. The South Bend School Corporation <br />is purchasing this property under its right of <br />eminent domain for the construction of the <br />new Riley High School prior to the five year <br />requirement. Since these circumstances are <br />not of the owner's making, we want to <br />provide him title so he can sell the property to <br />the school corporation. The staff recommends <br />approving the Release of Homesteading <br />Agreement. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by <br />Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Release of <br />Homesteading Agreement for property located <br />at 517 E.
