South Bend Redevelopment Commission
gular Meeting - April 21, 1995
6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.)
5.
a. continued ...
this approval should be contingent upon
a commitment from the Toll Road
Industrial Partners to enhance the
existing landscaping on the Tech Data
site.
Mr. Perri noted that the local manager
for Tech Data said that he is very happy
with the employment picture here. They
have found enough applicants to fill the
kinds of jobs he needs — warehouse as
well as others. They intend to start
assembling some computers before
shipping as well as making up some kits
for building computers.
Mrs. Kolata noted that the start of
construction for this project is further off
than the Commission would normally
allow. That is tied to Tech Data wanting
to give this "Configuration Center" a one
year trial period before they make the
decision to build.
Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki,
seconded by Mr. Donoho and
unanimously carried, the Commission
accepted the Proposal from Toll Road
Industrial Partners for Lot 3 in the Toll
Road Industrial Park.
OLD BUSINESS
a.
