South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />qW Regular Meeting - April 7, 1995 <br />that it would, indicating, however, that its <br />first choice was clearly the school <br />corporation building. <br />Mr. Hunt noted that on March 17 Design <br />Packaging brought in a final proposal for the <br />Transwestern site. That final proposal <br />included some significant changes that <br />addressed important issues the staff had had <br />with Design Packaging's earlier proposals. <br />Until March 17, the proposal from Design <br />Packaging for that site was not final enough <br />to make the staff confident it had a viable <br />proposal for the site. <br />Mr. Hunt indicated that he strongly <br />recommended the Commission accept the <br />Design Packaging proposal. He felt that, <br />for the Studebaker Museum proposal, the <br />addition of the Tra.nswestern site would be <br />nice, but not necessary. <br />Mr. Hunt also noted that the Studebaker <br />Drivers' Club proposal has come forward <br />too quickly. There has not been a study <br />done on the costs that would be required for <br />the rehab and adaptive reuse of the <br />administration building. <br />Ms. Auburn noted that she has served on a <br />Joint Committee of the Studebaker Board <br />and Redevelopment Commission to find a <br />suitable location for the Studebaker <br />Museum. The Joint Committee feels that <br />the Studebaker Drivers' Club's involvement <br />in the process (including membership on the <br />6.
