South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - August 5, 1994 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />q. continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission authorized the use of <br />redevelopment owned property at the corner <br />of Washington Street and Walnut Street by <br />the Berean Seventh -Day Adventist Church <br />through August 15, 1994. <br />r. Commission approval requested for Proposal <br />from ATEC Associates. Inc. for professional <br />services in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that ATEC has <br />proposed to perform a Phase I <br />environmental assessment at the Driesbach <br />property for a lump sum cost of $1,850. <br />We are getting prepared to dispose of the <br />property through the bid process and need to <br />have an environmental assessment. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission accepted the proposal from <br />ATEC Associates for a Phase I <br />environmental assessment of the Driesbach <br />property in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. <br />s. Staff report on disposition of land in the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area. <br />(Disposition Parcel No. 18) <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that the Commission <br />owns a parcel of land on the south side of <br />IL Garst between Main and Michigan, also <br />known as 116 W. Garst. It is approximately <br />34 feet by 89 feet. The minimum bid price <br />was $2,650 for the 3,036 sft.
