South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting - January 4, 1994 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />C. Public Hearing on Resolution No. 1210. <br />a Supplemental Appropriation Resolution <br />of the City of South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission (South Bend <br />Central Development Areal. <br />Mr. Hunt explained that periodically the <br />Commission appropriates funds from the <br />tax increment financing district for direct <br />expenditure in the development area in <br />which those funds were raised. <br />Resolution No. 1210 appropriates <br />$450,000 for use in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. <br />Approximately $300,000 will be used for <br />public works in connection with the <br />rehab and reuse of Central High School. <br />The public improvements will include <br />such things as curb and sidewalks and <br />landscaping in the public right -of -way. <br />The remaining $150,000 will be used for <br />public works projects in the downtown <br />and East Bank, such as small curb and <br />sidewalk repair and, possibly, the <br />extension of the river walk. <br />Mr. Hunt stated that the notice of public <br />hearing was published in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri- County News on <br />December 24, 1993. <br />Ms. Auburn asked if there was any <br />objection to the proofs of publication <br />being entered into the record. There was <br />no objection and the proofs of <br />publication were so entered. <br />-5- <br />
