NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />f. continued... <br />the City of South Bend, the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission and the <br />Department of Community and Economic <br />Development. <br />Adopted at the Regular Meeting of the South <br />Bend Redevelopment Commission held on <br />October 15, 1993 at 1308 County -City <br />Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601. <br />Ms. Auburn noted that there are very few <br />individuals who work as hard and selflessly <br />as Jon Hunt. There have been private sector <br />companies who have offered Jon <br />significantly more money to work for them, <br />but he has declined. The Ivan H. Brinegar <br />Municipal Management Award is truly <br />deserved. <br />Mr. Hunt noted that he was brought to the <br />Commission meeting on false pretenses. He <br />noted that he enjoys what he is doing or he <br />wouldn't do it. What makes it enjoyable is <br />the commitment, leadership and vision of the <br />mayors, Commission members, and not -for- <br />profit board members he has worked with <br />over the years as well as the team of <br />associates he works with in the Department <br />of Community and Economic Development. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded <br />by Mr. Piasecki and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission approved Resolution No. <br />1197 recognizing Jon R. Hunt for <br />distinguished service to the City of South <br />-7- <br />RECOGNIZING JON R. HUNT FOR <br />DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, THE SOUTH BEND <br />REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AND THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />
