South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - September 3, 1993 <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />a. Report on proposals received for Real Estate <br />Services for Commission property. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that we sent out a request ITEM S.A. WAS TABLED <br />for two real estate firms to represent the <br />Commission on selling land currently owned <br />by the Commission. We are not ready to <br />report on the proposals at this time. Item <br />5.a. was tabled. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Receipt of bids for Disposition Parcels A -3, <br />A -4 and B in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that we received two bids <br />by the 10:00 a.m. deadline. The first bid <br />ew was from American Medical Oxygen Sales <br />Corp. for Parcels A -3 and A -4. They bid <br />the minimum offering price of $3,250 for a <br />total of 7,082 square feet. Their bid <br />includes a check in the amount of $325.00 <br />as performance guarantee. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that Parcel A -3 and A -4 <br />are located south of Broadway just east of <br />Lafayette Street. American Medical Oxygen <br />proposes to expand their cylinder and supply <br />storage, provide garage space for their <br />delivery vehicles, and provide parking for <br />patients and employees. American Medical <br />Oxygen is a family owned business <br />headquartered in Hammond, Indiana, since <br />1953. They have been in South Bend at the <br />Broadway Street address since 1978. It is a <br />retail outlet offering for sale and rental <br />oxygen, monitors, breathing equipment, bed, <br />wheelchairs, canes, walkers, commodes, <br />52 <br />
