All <br />nino members will be appointed by the <br />Red veloament Commission. <br />Mrs Kolata read into the record and <br />exp ained the Findings ngs of Fact for the <br />Airport Economic Development Area which <br />is an attachment to Resolution No. 971. <br />AIRPOIRT EOONCNIC DEVEMPN= AREA <br />FINDINGS OF FACT <br />1. The Airport Economic Development Area <br />( "Area ") consists of approximately <br />2960 acres in the northwest part of <br />the City of South Bend, adjacent to <br />the Michiana Regional Airport. <br />2. The Area is zoned primarily for light <br />and heavy industrial use, although a <br />small portion is zoned residential. <br />3. Approximately 79% of the Area is <br />without structures; approximately 79% <br />of the land is underutilized due to <br />lack of supporting infrastructure <br />such as streets and utilities. Thus, <br />the following public improvements are <br />necessary in order to facilitate <br />development of the Area: <br />-3- <br />
