South Bend evelopment Comnissiorj <br />Rescheduled I Regular Meeting - December 7, 1990 <br />6. <br />d. continued... <br />Mrs Kolata noted that we expect to <br />readve proposals from outside the South <br />Berxi area as well as from local firms. <br />Upon a motion by by Mr. Doncho, seconded <br />by Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the <br />Coxmiission approved the request to seek <br />design proposals for the restoration and <br />ilitation of the Morris Civic <br />Auc4torium and Palais Royale. <br />Ms. Auburn joted that item 6.e. is an addition to <br />the agenda. <br />7. <br />e. <br />Mrs Kolata noted that the Commission <br />sent a purchase offer for parcel M3 -3 in <br />the Monroe Park portion of the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. The property <br />is located at 320 E. South Street. It <br />was our intent to acquire the property <br />and rehab it. The owner has notified us <br />that he has completed rehabilitation of <br />the property himself. Our appraisers and <br />staff have reviewed the property and it <br />is the staff recamwndation that the <br />Ccmiission withdras the purchase offer. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded by <br />Mr. Piasecki and unanimously carried, the <br />Coim.ussion withdrew the purchase offer <br />for parcel M3 -3 in the South Bend Central <br />Dev lonment Area. <br />Mrs. Kc <br />Works a <br />removal <br />$80,000. <br />ata reported that the Board of Public <br />roved a contract for the asbestos <br />in the Transwestern Building.
