South Bend evelopment Ccammission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting - December 7, 1990 <br />8. <br />9. <br />Mrs. Ko <br />ata noted that the staff recoarmiended <br />to the <br />oard of Public Works that it reject <br />all bi&q <br />for the demolition of the <br />Transw <br />tern Building. There were technical <br />problent <br />with the low bids. The remaining <br />bids weie <br />all well over our estimates for the <br />work. 1he <br />Board of Public Works is going to <br />readvertise <br />for proposals. The new proposals <br />will be <br />due on December 31, 1990. Mrs. <br />Kolata rioted <br />that rejecting the bids and <br />readvertising <br />does not put us behind schedule <br />on the project. <br />Demolition cannot be done <br />before the <br />asbestos removal is cxmnplete and <br />that will <br />take sixty days. <br />The n meeting of the Redevelopment <br />Commission is scheduled for Friday, December <br />21, 199 at 10:00 a.m. <br />There being no further business to cane <br />before tle Commission, Mr. Donoho made a <br />motion Uiat the meeting be adjourned.
