Version 6-8-2017 <br />The CONSULTANT shall provide the following items for all utilities within the project limits to the <br />Contract Administration Division, Estimating Section along with contract documents no later than 90 days <br />prior to the contract letting: <br />1. Utility contact with phone number, <br />2. Utility relocation plans and/or description of relocation if relocation is necessary, <br />3. Total schedule for relocation, if relocation is necessary, including material delivery, weather restraints, <br />pre-work requirements, coordination issues, need for right-of-way staking and construction time, <br />4. Utility Coordination Certification. <br /> <br />The Utility Coordination Certification, signed by the person responsible for utility coordination, shall state <br />that all utilities within the project limits have been contacted and that the included relocation plans address the <br />relocation of all facilities known to be in conflict with the project. <br /> <br />The CONSULTANT shall review construction plans for potential utility conflicts and transmit to utility <br />owners with instructions as needed. <br /> <br />The CONSULTANT shall review utility relocation plans and cost estimates for accuracy and <br />acceptability. <br /> <br />The CONSULTANT shall prepare an agreement with the utility when relocation costs must be <br />reimbursed. <br /> <br />The CONSULTANT shall coordinate with the Local Public Agency to investigate potential plan revisions, <br />when warranted, to minimize excessive utility relocation costs. <br /> <br />The CONSULANT shall prepare Special Provisions, as needed, to coordinate utility relocation during <br />construction. <br /> <br />The CONSULTANT shall act as a liaison between utility companies and the Local Public Agency, <br />answering questions, interpreting plans, and coordinating activities, etc. <br /> <br />The CONSULTANT shall assist the INDOT District Representative in resolving problems or questions <br />concerning utilities during construction, and coordinate with the District Utility Engineer. <br /> <br />The CONSULTANT shall maintain sufficient records to accurately track the status of utility relocations <br />and ensure that work is done on schedule in an organized timely manner and prepare periodic status reports. <br /> <br />The CONSULTANT shall coordinate with affected utilities for their attendance at the Preliminary Field <br />Check. <br /> <br />Task 4 Railroad Coordination <br /> <br /> The CONSULTANT shall provide Railroad coordination services that will result in the following: <br />1. Coordination of plans and specifications acceptable to and approved by the railroad. <br />2. Receipt of all information needed from the railroad for the project to proceed to an INDOT <br />letting. <br />3. Fully executed - or agreed to and in process of executing - all required Railroad Project <br />Agreements as needed to include: <br /> A-5 <br /> <br />
