The Executive Director <br />The staff of the Entertainment District will be responsible to the Board of <br />Directors for the implementation of program. The Executive Director will <br />be responsible for making resource allocations - money, facility and <br />volunteers - in light of the poliices established by the Board of Directors. <br />The Executive Director and other senior staff, at his /her direction, is <br />responsible to the Board for the provision of financial, program, staff <br />performance and facility information so that the Board can perform its <br />planning, evaluative and monitoring functions. <br />An Executive Director's job description must include the following: <br />Description of Function- Responsible for directing the <br />Entertainment District's activities according to policies established <br />by the Board utilizing available resources. <br />Specification of Responsibility and Authority- <br />* Maintains, establishes and eliminates programs with the approval <br />of the Board <br />• Prepares planning materials describing operational needs, <br />directions, trends and capital needs <br />• Prepares annual operating and capital budgets <br />• Presents plans, budget and recommendations to the Board for <br />review and approval <br />• Presents financial reports to the Board describing performance <br />• Hires, evaluates and dismisses employees based upon approved <br />funding, personnel policies adopted by the Board, and employee <br />performance <br />- 21 - <br />
