South Bend evelopment Commission
Regular Mee ing - October 27, 1989
6. NEW BUMESS (Cont.)
d. continued...
Lincolnway East to it. They would do
whatever necessary to the house to bring
it Lp to code requirements.
Mrs. Kolata noted that Mr. Dobson should
explain in writing the things he just
stated and that would satisfy most of the
recruirements of the bid.
Mrs. Auburn asked Ms. Pfotenhauer if the
lack of these documents causes a legal
problem with the bid. Ms. Pfotenhauer
resTonded that the documents are a legal
t of the bid.
Mr. Nintz noted that he had talked with
Mr. Dobson's father about the possibility
of authorizing the sale of the property
perking receipt of the necessary
docLments. The Ccmission attorney
inf rmed Mr. Nimtz that it was not
'
des le to set such a precedent.
Ms. Kolata. asked Mr. Dobson to be sure to
include the division of responsibility
between Dennis Cripe and B & R Oil as to
who will move the house, improve the
hous e, etc.
Mrs. Kolata offered to have the docxmnents
for the Contract for Sale of Land drafted
prior to the next Commission meeting if
the required information is supplied to
the staff promptly. That would enable
the staff to close the transaction
rap' y and the project to move ahead on
Mr. Dobson indicated that they would have
provided the necessary information if
they bad ]mown it was required. Mrs.
Kolata responded that the bid packet
which they picked up listed all the
necessary information which should be
suhTitted with the bid.
