We have plans and <br />specifications here and I am prepared to <br />answer any questions about the projects <br />if tliere is anyone from the public who <br />wis4les to speak. <br />Mr. imtz: The Public Hearing is now <br />open for any comments and suggestions. <br />Does anyone desire to be heard. <br />Mark Kurowski: I live at 1408 Woodlawn <br />Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana. I am the <br />person who originally started a petition <br />drive to have "Violin Woman" relocated. <br />I would urge the Commission to relocate <br />"Violin Woman" to a place where it might <br />be more prominent, or as prominent. It <br />is not my desire at all to have the South <br />Bend Symphony or Mr. Iangland, creator of <br />the sculpture, slighted in any way. I <br />just wish to have the fountain itself, <br />whidi is a prize work because it was <br />designed by John Simons who is the <br />"fa er" of landscape architecture and <br />literally wrote the textbook on the <br />issu . So I would encourage the <br />commission to consider strongly <br />rel ting the "Violin Woman" and <br />rest ring the fountain to its original <br />stata so that we could have, as a prize <br />for e City of South Bend, a Simons work <br />as w 11 making it conducive to view. <br />Mr. imtz: 'Thank you for your input.
