South Bend edevelopment Commission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting - April 29, 1988 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />b. Continued... <br />states that the leasing of the parking <br />facility will serve the public purpose of <br />the City of South Bend and is in the best <br />interests of its residents. It directs <br />the Secretary to transmit a copy of the <br />lease to the South Bend Common Council <br />and to file an approving ordinance for <br />the purpose of the Council finding that <br />the rental payments are fair and <br />rea onable. It also authorizes the <br />President and Secretary of the Commission <br />to file a petition for approval of <br />execution with the State Board of Tax <br />Commissioners. <br />Upo a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the <br />Co ssion authorized Resolution No. 841. <br />c. Public Hearing concerning the acquisition <br />um. <br />Mrs Kolata noted that on April 15th the <br />Co ssion adopted Resolution No. 840 <br />which approved the proposed lease between <br />the Redevelopment Authority and the <br />Redevelopment Commission for Stanley <br />Cov leski Regional Stadium. It set a <br />Public Hearing on the proposed lease for <br />10:00 a.m. April 29th and authorized <br />publication of Notice of the Public <br />Hearing. <br />Mrs Kolata read into the record the <br />items of Public Hearing: <br />1. Proof of publication from David <br />Kollar, owner of Tri- County News, <br />that the Notice of Public Hearing was <br />published on April 15, 1988. <br />2.
