South Bend edevelopment Corranission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting - April 29, 1988 <br />2. <br />(Cont.) <br />published on April 15, 1988 in the <br />Tri- County News. <br />Proof of publication from Carol Smith, <br />Classified Manager of the South Bend <br />Tribune that the Notice of Public <br />Hearing was published on April 15, <br />1988 in the South Bend Tribune. <br />Mr. Nimtz asked if there was any <br />objection. to these items being entered <br />into the record. There was no objection <br />and the items were received into the <br />Mrs Kolata explained that the Public <br />Hearing is on the lease between the <br />Redevelopment Authority and the <br />Red velopment Commission for the parking <br />facility. The lease provides for a <br />payment not to exceed $520,000 per year <br />from the Commission to the Authority to <br />make the payment on the parking garage. <br />This is a maximum amount, expected to <br />decrease as construction costs become <br />kno and as determination is made <br />regarding the taxable /tax - exempt nature <br />of the bond. <br />Mr. Nimtz asked if anyone desired to be <br />heard concerning this resolution. There <br />was no one who desired to be heard. Mr. <br />Nimt z closed the Public Hearing for any <br />action the Commission desired to take. <br />b. Cormiission. authorization requested for <br />Resolution No. 841 authorizing the <br />execution of a lease on behalf of the <br />City of South Bend and regarding other <br />relELted matters. (St. Joseph/Wayne <br />Par ing Facility) <br />Mrs Kolata noted that Resolution No. 841 <br />autliorizes the President and Secretary of <br />the Commission to execute the lease, it <br />authorizes the payment of $520,000 per <br />year in semi- annual payments, and it <br />-3- <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ACQUISITION <br />BY LEASE /PURCHASE OF A PARKING <br />FACILITY <br />
