West Washington - Chapin Redevelopment Target Area, recognize through resolution the need for considering the views of residents, taxpayers and merchants of the Near Westside Neighborhood in the ongoing redevelopment process (This can be coordinated by our staff through the City's Legal Department); 3.) That the initial plan necessary to designate the Redevelopment Target Area be limited to acquisition of vacant land and implementation of public works in the Areas A and B of the Redevelopment Target Area. The detailed objectives of the comprehensive plan will guide building acquisition and demolition. No demolition is to be undertaken until this comprehensive plan is complete and the Redevelopment Commission has sought and given serious consideration to the review, comment and recommendation of the membE= of the WWCRP; 4.) That the Redevelopment Commission will stay within the specified boundaries as h re below described, or if it is determined changes must be made in the boundaries that the proposed changes be brought. to the WWCRP for its review, come nt and recommendation prior to action by the Commission; 5.) That central to this request for the declaration of a Redevelopment Target Area be a requirement for the completion of a comprehensive neighborhood development plan. The Redevelopment Co ssion and the Department of Economic Development will seek the review, comments and recommendations of the representatives of the WWCRP regarding the couponents and timetable for completion of the Comprehensive Plan.
