Condinued... <br />West Washington - Chapin Redevelopment <br />Target Area, recognize through resolution <br />the need for considering the views of <br />residents, taxpayers and merchants of the <br />Near Westside Neighborhood in the ongoing <br />redevelopment process (This can be <br />coordinated by our staff through the <br />City's Legal Department); <br />3.) That the initial plan necessary to <br />designate the Redevelopment Target Area <br />be limited to acquisition of vacant land <br />and implementation of public works in the <br />Areas A and B of the Redevelopment Target <br />Area. The detailed objectives of the <br />comprehensive plan will guide building <br />acquisition and demolition. No <br />demolition is to be undertaken until this <br />comprehensive plan is complete and the <br />Redevelopment Commission has sought and <br />given serious consideration to the <br />review, comment and recommendation of the <br />membE= of the WWCRP; <br />4.) That the Redevelopment Commission <br />will stay within the specified boundaries <br />as h re below described, or if it is <br />determined changes must be made in the <br />boundaries that the proposed changes be <br />brought. to the WWCRP for its review, <br />come nt and recommendation prior to <br />action by the Commission; <br />5.) That central to this request for the <br />declaration of a Redevelopment Target <br />Area be a requirement for the completion <br />of a comprehensive neighborhood <br />development plan. The Redevelopment <br />Co ssion and the Department of Economic <br />Development will seek the review, <br />comments and recommendations of the <br />representatives of the WWCRP regarding <br />the couponents and timetable for <br />completion of the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Mr. tiasecki recommended that the area <br />boun ed by Blaine, Cushing, Lincolnway <br />-4- <br />
