Continued... <br />Ms. Baumgartner explained that Mr. Engle <br />was one of the winners in the Homestead <br />drawing, but he had not signed the <br />agreement prior to the last Commission <br />meet ing, so it was not approved at that <br />ti . <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. Piasecki and unanimously carried, the <br />Coimiission approved the Urban <br />Homesteading Agreement for Richard I. <br />Engle, Jr. <br />Item 6.1b. was an addition to the agenda. <br />a <br />Staff report on the West Washington - <br />Chapin Revitalization Project, Inc. <br />Mr. lunt noted that the staff had met <br />SeptHdber 9 with several members of the <br />BoarJ of WWCRP. Mr. Hunt, Mr. Norris, <br />and . Schwartz attended the meeting. <br />Mr. iunt asked Mr. Norris to summarize <br />the eport. <br />(Mr. Hunt was called out of the meeting <br />and ors. Kolata took over the <br />disc ssion.) <br />Mr. Norris noted that the WWCRP had, at <br />the August 28 Commission meeting, <br />requested Redevelopment designation for <br />the West Washington - Chapin area. <br />Included in that request was a list of <br />stipulations. These were discussed at <br />the September 9 meeting and the staff <br />recoipends the following: <br />1.) 9hat the Redevelopment Commission <br />resolve to frequently solicit and accept <br />for donsideration the views of residents, <br />taxp yers, and merchants of the Near <br />West ide Neighborhood in the ongoing <br />rede elopment process; <br />2.) <br />t the Common Council, in <br />g designation of the <br />-3- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE URBAN <br />HOMESTEADING AGREEMENT FOR RICHARD <br />I.
