South Bend edevelopment Commission Annual Orqa izational Meeting - January 2,:'1986 4. APPOINI$= OF LEGAL COUNSEL AND STAFF (font.) Mayor Parent thanked the Conm- LissionerS for serving on the Redevelopment Commission. He noted that 1985 had been a very good year for the Comaission. He stated that he looks forward to a good year in 1986. The Mayor thanked the Commissioners, Jon Hunt, Ann Kolata, Eugenia Schwartz and the rest of the staff for all the good work. He noted that 1985 had the first sale in Indiana of a Tax Increm tal Finance Bond which will be the way for South Bend and other cities to meet some of the shortfalls in federal funding. The Char responded that the Commission appreciated all the cooperation from the Mayor's office and thanked the Mayor for his congrat lations on a successful year. The Conaniss'on also hopes that 1986 will be as great a 1985. Upon a motion made by Ms. Auburn, seconded by Mr. Pia ecki and unanimously carried, Resolution No. 760 setting the maximum salaries for staff was passed. 5. SET REGJLAR MEETING TIMES FOR 1986 N Upon a inotion made by Mr. Piasecki, seconded by Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, the Regular Meetings of the Redevelopment Commission will be held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month at 10:00 a.m. local time. Mr. Hun thanked the Commission on behalf of the staff for the support they have given the staff o er 1985. The Commission made some- tough and good decisions that we will start to see pay off in the next three to four years. The sta f looks forward to another good year in 1986 Mr. Ni z returned the compliment saying that the Comnission has one of the most loyal staffs of all the City departments.
