South BE <br />Reschedi <br />IV <br />a <br />h. <br />end 'Redevelopment <br />Commission <br />aled <br />Regular Meeting - December 15, 1983 <br />BUS <br />NESS (Cont.) <br />Continued... <br />Upon <br />a motion made by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. <br />Piasecki and unanimously carried, the <br />staff <br />was given authorization to enter into a <br />Corraract <br />for Professional Services with <br />Hendershot <br />& Associates for preparation and <br />publication <br />of a brochure related to the East <br />Ba <br />Development Area. <br />Coninission <br />authorization requested to begin <br />survey <br />and appraisal work in preparation for <br />putting <br />Disposition Parcels #4 -66 and 4 -67 in <br />the <br />Central Downtown Urban Renewal Area up for <br />sale. <br />Kolata explained that this is the <br />Mrs <br />pre <br />iminary work necessary in order to to put <br />this <br />parcel up for sale. She stated that <br />there <br />have been a couple of potential <br />inquiries <br />in the property and we would like to <br />confirm <br />their interest. <br />Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Donaldson, seconded <br />by <br />Mr. Piasecki and unanimously carried, <br />Corffi.ission <br />authorization was given to begin <br />sunrey <br />and appraisal work in preparation for <br />putting <br />Disposition Parcels #4 -66 and 4 -67 in <br />the <br />Central Donwtown Urban Renewal Area up for <br />sale. <br />Resolution <br />No. 693 ccomending Kevin J. Butler <br />for <br />meritorious service as Chief al Counsel <br />for <br />the Redevelopment Ccmission. <br />Nimtz excused himself from the Chair and <br />Mr. <br />Ms. <br />Auburn assumed the Chair. <br />Mr. <br />Nimtz read the following resolution into <br />the <br />record: <br />WHEREAS, Kevin J. Butler has been the <br />Chi <br />f Legal Counsel for the South Bend <br />Red <br />velopment Commission for the past twelve <br />(12j <br />years; and <br />WHEREAS, he has diligently performed his <br />duties <br />as Legal Counsel and represented the <br />Com <br />ission with expertise and wisdom; and <br />-6- <br />AUTHORIZATION GIVEN FOR THE <br />STAFF TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT <br />FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITH <br />HENDERSCHOT & ASSOCIATES FOR <br />PREPARATION AND PUBLICATION <br />OF A BROCHURE RELATED TO THE <br />EAST BANK DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />AUTHORIZATION GIVEN TO BEGIN <br />SURVEY AND APPRAISAL WORK IN <br />PREPARATION FOR PUTTING <br />DISPOSITION PARCELS #4-66 AND <br />4 -67 IN THE CENTRAL DOWNTOWN <br />URBAN RENEWAL AREA UP FOR SALE <br />COMMISSIONER AUBURN ASSUMED <br />THE CHAIR <br />
