South Bend edevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - October 14, 1983 <br />6. NEW BUSjNESS (Cont.) <br />d. ssion action on proposal received for <br />Dis sition Parcels #6 and #8 in the Monroe <br />S le Develounent Area. <br />Mrs Kolata explained that Parcels #6 and #8 <br />were put up for bid about one year ago and we <br />did not receive any bids. Since then we <br />receeved a proposal from J &G Realty and <br />Insurance Company to buy both of those parcels <br />at :)ur minimum bid price of $32,340. They <br />hava proposed to build a structure that would <br />hava 3,000 square feet of office and 16,000 of <br />war ouse. J &G Realty is planning to lease <br />thi5 structure to Slusky -Peltz Plumbing and <br />Heating to move their operation into the <br />Monroe Sample Area. Slutsky -Peltz will be <br />increasing their office personnel by three <br />iDeo le. <br />Mrs Kolata stated that J &G Realty have <br />followed all necessary procedures required in <br />the normal bidding process. She also stated <br />that the staff will be reviewing the building <br />plans with Slutsky -Peltz once they are <br />fin lined to assure they follow the <br />dev lopment plan guidelines. <br />Mr. Piasecki asked that Slutsky -Peltz be <br />approached regarding the condition of property <br />they currently own. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Piasecki, seconded <br />by mr. Donaldson and unanimously carried, the <br />proposal and purchase price in the amount of <br />$32040 from J &G Realty and Insurance Company <br />was accepted and the President and Secretary <br />were authorized to execute all necessary <br />doaiments for sale of Disposition Parcels #6 <br />and #8 in the Monroe Sample Develor -ment Area. <br />7. PROGRES$ REPORTS <br />It was necessary for Commissioner Nimtz to <br />leave the meeting due to an item pending in <br />court so the chair was assumed by <br />Vice-President Auburn. <br />Mr. <br />appl <br />noted that the staff had completed an <br />on for the Urban Enterprise Zone for <br />PROPOSAL AND PURCHASE <br />PRICE IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$32,340 FROM J &G REALTY <br />AND INSURANCE COMPANY WAS <br />ACCEPTED AND THE PRESIDENT <br />AND SECRETARY WERE AUTHOR- <br />IZED TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY <br />DOCUMENT'S FOR SALE OF DIS- <br />POSITION PARCELS #6 AND #8 <br />IN THE MONROE SAMPLE <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />VICE - PRESIDENT AUBURN <br />ASSUMED THE CHAIR <br />
