Mr. Hunt explained that this Resolution will co before the Area Plan Commission and the Cit of South Bend Common Council for public he ing before it will appear before the Red velopment Commission again for final Mrs Kolata explained that are three major chariges in redeclaring the Central Downtown Urbcm Renewal Area. First of all the Resolution is expanding the Area by about a hall' of a block to include the building on the corner of LaSalle and Michigan Streets. The second change is that the Resolution would expand the allocation area for tax incremental financing to include all of the Redevelopment area within the Central Downtown Urban Renewal Area.. The third change is in the Design Review Committee which will go along with the charges previously approved for the Monroe Sample and East Bank Development Areas. There will be a core committee of five people to which we will add two people from the downtown to vote on those matters that relate only to the downtown area. Mr. tax a motion made by Ms. Auburn, seconded by )onaldson and unanimously carried, Lution No. 690 redeclaring the Central gown Urban Renewal Area to be blighted, -iding the boundaries of the area, zding the allocation area for purposes of Lncremental financing, making certain 3ions to the Design Review Con¢nittee and )owing the Urban Renewal Plan and all knents thereto was approved. -5- RESOLUTION NO. 690 REDE- CLARING THE CENTRAL DOWNTOWN URBAN RENEWAL AREA TO BE BLIGHTED, EXPANDING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE AREA, EXPANDING THE ALLOCATION AREA FOR PURPOSES OF TAX INCREMENTAL FINANCING, MAKING CERTAIN REVISIONS TO THE DESIGN REVIEW COM- MITTEE AND REAPPROVING THE URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AND ALL AMENDMENTS THERETO WAS- APPROVED
