South Bend edevelopnent Commission <br />Regular Mee ing - January 28, 1983 <br />5. PUBLIC WARING (Continued) <br />Mr. Ford introduced himself, Mr. Don Larimore, <br />Secretary of St. Joseph Tower, Inc. and Admin- <br />istrator of St. Joseph Medical Center; Sister <br />Eileen Wrobleski, Assistant Administrator of St. <br />Joseph Medical Center; and Mr. Dan Brewer, Trust <br />Off'cer at St. Joseph Bank & Trust Company. They <br />made themselves available to answer any questions <br />tha the Commission or members of the public may <br />have relating to the former Quality Inn site. <br />Mr. Ford entered three (3) letters of support into <br />the record from the Executive Director of United <br />Hea th Services, Executive Director of Madison <br />Center, and from the Chairman of the Board of <br />Ro rtsons. <br />Mrs Kolata read the following letters: <br />January 3, 1983 <br />TO HOM IT MAY CONCERN: LETTER FROM BARBARA <br />ROCKAVMY, EXECUTIVE <br />I am pleased to hear of the proposed plan of St. DIRECTOR, UNITED HEALTH <br />Joseph Medical Center to convert the Quality Inn SERVICES, WAS RECEIVED <br />into housing for the elderly and disabled. There AND PLACED ON FILE <br />is special need for affordable housing which has <br />bee adapted for the handicapped and hopefully <br />thi project will respond to this need. <br />The location will provide easy access to shopping <br />and medical care.
