Since we are at that point, Mr. James Childs, as an architect, has been asked to go through the building, review and give us a report. The report from Mr. Childs is fairly lengthy, so I will summarize it. Mr. Childs' report states that he personally reviewed the original plans, visited the site, and toured the building and grounds. He states that: "due to the magnitude and complexity of the project, a multitude of revisions have occurred in both the plans and specifications and ultimately, of course, meant that the building is somewhat different than originally designed: Even though the revisions are quite exten- sive in nature, it is still our professional opinion that the conceptual scope of the project has remained unchanged, and, therefore, the structure which is bei g completed at this time is in substantial con- forrrance with the plans which were provided to us by your office and which represent the originally sub- mitted document." On a motion made by Mr. Donaldson, seconded by Mr. Cira and unanimously carried, it was determined that the project has been substantially completed in con - for ance with the plans and specifications, as modified, and authorized the execution of the Certificate of Com letion. k. Com ission a Com ittee. )ointment to Monroe - Sample Design Review Mrs. Kolata explained that when the Monroe - Sample De- velopment Plan was adopted, it called for a [design Review Committee to consist of five people: the Executive Director of Redevelopment; the Director of the Area Plan Commission; the Building Commissioner; and the City Engineer. One appointment was left open for the Commission to make, and we are recommending to the Commission that that appointment be made today in light of the fact that we received our first bid proposal for purchase of land in Monroe- Sample. We would like to recommend to you that Mrs. GlendaRae Hernandez be appointed to the Committee.
