South Bend R development Commission
Rescheduled Regular Meeting - October 23, 1981
6. NEW BUSINESS (continued)
f. Commission designation
Parc lt'No 2'and "3'in
quested -for Disposition
e Monroe - Sample Development
Mrs. Kolata explained that this relates to two addi-
tional disposition parcels in the Monroe- Sample De-
velopment Area that we want to officially designate
as Disposition Parcel No. 2 and Disposition Parcel
No. 3.
Disp sition Parcel No. 2 will include Parcel Nos.
16-35, 16 -37, 16 -38 and 16 -39. Disposition Parcel
No. 3 will include Parcel Nos. 16 -34, 16 -34A and
16-31B.
On a motion made by Mr. Donaldson, seconded by Mr.
Cira and unanimously carried, Disposition Parcels
2 and 3 in the Monroe- Sample Development Area were
designated.
g. Commission approval requested for Resolution No.
6.47"_a0pr6Ving the fair market re -Ute ValUe of land
within the'Monroe -Sari le DeVelo ment Area.
Mrs. Kolata explained that Resolution No. 647 estab-
lishes the fair market re -use value of Disposition
Parcels No. 2 and 3. Disposition Parcel No. 2 con-
tains approximately 10,900 square feet, and Disposi-
tion Parcel No. 3 contains approximately 9,200 square
feet. They are both to be light industrial use and
they have re -use valuations of $50.00 and $125.00
respectively. These re -use values are low because
of our plan to vacate George Avenue as well as the
alle s in the area, making access practically non -
exis ent. The cost associated with clearing the four
hous s located in Parcel No. 2 diminishes any value
that the land had. Parcel No. 3 is land - locked.
On a motion made by Mr. Cira, seconded by Mr. Donald-
son and unanimously carried, Resolution No. 647,
esta lishing the fair market re -use value of land
within the Monroe - Sample Development Area, was
appr ved.
7
DISPOSITION PARCELS NO.
2 AND 3 IN THE MONROE-
SAMPLE DEVELOPMENT AREA
WERE DESIGNATED
RESOLUTION NO. 647,
ESTABLISHING FAIR MARKET
RE -USE VALUE OF DISPOSI-
TION PARCELS NO. 2 AND
3 APPROVED
