Co ission approval re nested to adopt revised -Non- Pro it Grou Rehab Guidelines in accordance with recommendation of Mrs: Kathrvn'Baumgartner. Director; Bureau of''Housinc Mrs. Baumgartner explained that we are requesting the target area restriction be removed from the congregate home portion of the Non- Profit Group Guidelines. Two years ago -a provision was placed in the guidelines that congregate homes would be eligible to participate in this program. There are a few congregate homes in South Bend, and we have recently been approached by Phoenix House. (A congregate home is described as a special public home where people reside, not in terms of a fa ily, but because of a special need. Mostly it is a half -way house, i.e., drugs, run away.) We d� not want the program restricted to a certain areal, but available city -wide. On a motion made by Mr. Donaldson, seconded by Mr. Cira and unanimously carried, the request to adopt revised Non- Profit Group Rehab Guidelines was approved. e. Commission approval urc ase price for Sample Development requested for an increase in arcel No: 16 -23 in the Monroe- rea. Mrs. Kolata explained that Parcel No. 16 -23 has gone to c ndemnation and the Court - appointed appraisers came back with an appraisal amount $200.00 more than what we had offered originally. There is a house on the property and the people will settle for the court - appo'nted appraisal amount. On a motion made by Mr. Donaldson, seconded by Mr. Cira and unanimously carried, the requested $200.00 incr ase in the purchase price for Parcel 16 -23 was appr ved. C. REVISED NON- PROFIT GROUP REHAB GUIDELINES WERE ADOPTED INCREASE IN PURCHASE PRICE FOR PARCEL NO. 16 -23 IN MONROE- SAMPLE DEVELOPMENT AREA APPROVED
