Com ission approval requested for a Non - Profit Re- <br />habilitation Grant to Phoenix'House, Inc., in the <br />amo nt of $10,000.00 'for a house located at 3519 <br />C awa <br />venue. <br />Mrs. Baumgartner explained that at the last Commis- <br />sion meeting we extended the boundaries of the non- <br />profit group program to include any congregate home <br />located in the City of South Bend, and at that time <br />indicated that Phoenix House had presented such an <br />application to us. We have processed this applica- <br />tioi and the Advisory Board has met, recommending we <br />award a grant to Phoenix House. They will pay the <br />amo nt in excess of the $10,000.00 grant. Phoenix <br />Hou a is a half -way home for recovering women <br />ale holies. <br />Upoi a motion made by Mr. Donaldson, seconded by Mr. <br />Robinson and unanimously carried, a $10,000.00 Non - <br />Pro it Rehabilitation Grant to Phoenix House was <br />app oved. <br />SECTION 312 LOAN PROGRAM <br />PROPOSAL AND SECTION 312 <br />LOAN AND HOMESTEAD PROGRAM <br />PROPOSAL WERE APPROVED <br />NON- PROFIT REHABILITATION <br />GRANT TO PHOENIX HOUSE, <br />INC., FOR 3519 MISHAWAKA <br />AVENUE WAS APPROVED <br />
