South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Me ting — November 6, 1981
5. COMMUNICATIONS (continued)
a. continued...
pr posal was for a hotel and they had a problem get -
ti g a franchise because they didn't like the way the
ro ms had to be laid out around the columns in the
building. Up until we ran into that problem we thought
that would be the strongest proposal and we would be
ab e to go ahead with it. A number of different items
ha come up that caused various proposals to be either
wi hdrawn or rejected by us.
Ms Derbeck asked if having the TRANSPO terminal run
along Washington Street would alter the shape of the
Century Mall. Mr. McMahon stated it was consistent
with the original plan that was done by The American
Ci y Corporation and once we transfer the property
to TRANSPO,we will have about three- quarters of the
wh le two block area to work with. One of the reasons
we discussed this particular area with TRANSPO is that
it suits a staged development of the Century Mall
B1 ck.
6. OLD BUSINESS
R
a. Commission approval requested for an amendment to
Consulting Agreement with`Rolf Jensen & Associate
Inc., to perform consultinq services with respect
Mr
by
wi
es
wi
ge
co
fr
s
qu
Up
Ro
th
at
enter.
McMahon explained that we have been notified
Rolf Jensen Associates, Inc., that their contract
1 exceed the $5,000.00 figure that we originally
ablished. We have not yet defined what the excess
1 be, but to allow this to go ahead I would sug-
t to the Commission that we simply increase their
tract by $5,000.00 and extend the time frame also
m September 15, 1981 to December 15, 1981, which
uld give us more than enough time and also ade-
te funds to address whatever additional costs
t have been incurred.
►n motion made by -Mr. Donaldson, seconded by Mr.
Hinson and unanimously carried, the amendment to
Consulting Agreement with Rolf Jensen & Associ-
!s, Inc., was approved.
7
AMENDMENT TO CONSULTING
AGREEMENT WITH ROLF JENSEN
& ASSOCIATES, INC.,
APPROVED
