No action <br />be <br />ng necessary, this letter was received and placed on fi <br />OL <br />BUSINESS <br />Letter dated November 28, 1977 to Mayor Nemeth from HUD <br />a) <br />regarding Notification of Acquisition Monitoring Visit. <br />Mr. Brownell advised that this visit was not accomplish <br />at the appointed time due to inability to get transport <br />tion on December 6th so the visit has been postponed to <br />a later date. <br />b) <br />Commission approval requested for rejection of bids for <br />general construction, Contract Set #5: <br />On recommendation of the South Advisory Board, Commissi <br />approval is requested for rejection and re -bid of contr <br />Set #5 for general construction work, inasmuch as the 1 <br />bidder, Brittain Construction, submitted stock certifi- <br />cates as bid bond. Legal counsel has recommended that <br />stock certificates not be accepted as fulfilling the <br />contract bid bond requirements. Following are all bids <br />from the tabulation sheet: <br />Plaia Construction Co. $54,203.00 <br />Brittain Construction 50,060.00 <br />Slatile Roofing /Sheet Metal 54,795.00 <br />On recommendation of the Advisory Board and advice of <br />legal counsel, Mr. Robinson moved for rejection of bids <br />and proposal for re -bid of Contract Set #5.
