COMMUNICATIONS, (CONTINUED) Mr. Brownell read this letter from Mr. Powers, which was the an ual request by the South Bend Tribune that they receive written notice of all meetings of the Department of Redevelop- me it in the calendar year 1978. All notices should be mailed or delivered to City Desk, South Bend Tribune, 223 West Colfax Av nue, South Bend, Indiana 46626. Request was also made that if an emergency meeting is called, the same notice be furnished to the Tribune as to the governing body. Further, if the notice to the governing body is by telephone, the number to call at th2 Tribune office is 233 -6161, extension 321 or 322. Th� Chair directed that this letter be received and placed on fi e. Letter dated December 30, 1977, from Mr. Michael Collins WN U regarding meeting notices. Mr. Brownell also read the letter from Mr. Collins with a si ilar request for notification to WNDU of any and all meetings of the Redevelopment Commission. Th� Chair directed that this letter too be received and placed on file. Mr. Brownell then pointed out ( "as Mr. Nimtz is aware ") we have se it notices to all the media, of the fact that we have meetings on the first and third Friday of each month during 1978 and we also sent another notice that today's meeting was to be held on the third of January instead of the sixth (that being th2 first Friday of the month). These notices were signed by Mr. Nimtz and sent "return receipt" mail. We have all the re eipts back from the people they were mailed to - and have placed them in the file. We also have on file an affidavit fr m Ms. Jane Zimmerman that she mailed these letters. Letter dated December 20, 1977 from Lloyd S. Taylor, Vice Pres. of St. Joseph Bank & Trust Company, regarding Certificate of Completion, Whitcomb & Keller Building. C. Wayne Brownell read the letter from Mr. Taylor and indicated that following receipt of the letter, we asked Per. James Childs to examine the landscaping, determine if it has been ac omplished according to the plans - and is complete. We have a letter from Mr. Childs which states that he personally vi ited the site and outlined his observations concerning th landscaping. He indicates that it is substantially complete.
