Rehabilitation Contract Nos. NWCD /12 and NWCD /13, in the Northwest <br />C mmunit aevelo ment Program: Per recommendation of the North - <br />w st Advisory Committee, Commission authorization was requested <br />f r contract award to the low bidder, Charles Brown Maintenance <br />S rvice, for following contracts: <br />Contract No. Address Bid Amount <br />N CD /12 536 N. Blaine Ave. $ 4,786.00 <br />N CD /13 537 N. Blaine Ave. 4,895.00 <br />Two (2) contractors submitted bids for these contracts: Charles <br />Brown Maintenance Service, and the other was: Slatile Roofing <br />& Sheet Metal, Inc., whose bids were $5,941.00 for Contract No. 12, <br />arid $5,510.00 for Contract No. 13. <br />Commissioner Wiggins commented on Charles Brown Maintenance <br />Service being a new contractor in submitting bids, and Mr. Brownell <br />a vised that he has done excellent work. Mr. Keith P. Crighton, <br />Director, Bureau of Housing, added that Charles Brown Maintenance <br />Service has worked in our Model Cities Program. They have been <br />w rking with him for about nine months to get him bonded. We <br />a e very happy that he is now bonded as he is a very fine contrac- <br />t r and we have never had any complaints about the quality of work <br />t at he has done. <br />Mr. Wiggins made the motion to award Contract Nos. NWCD /12 and <br />N CD /13, to Charles Brown Maintenance Service, in bid amounts of <br />$ ,786.00 and $4,895.00, respectively, as the low bidder, and the <br />President and Secretary be authorized to execute said contracts. <br />Motion was seconded by Mr. Cira and carried.
