6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont'd
0
e.
in the $4 -1/2 Million and this saves considerable interest on daily,
weekly and monthly basis. Mr. Brownell stated that in the last two
years, we have reduced these Notes approximately $6 Million; they
were $10,381,000 last year.
The Chair asked the Commissioners if they had any questions on
the Notes; then asked the public if they had any questions they
may want to ask on this financing; there being none, he requested
a motion to confirm the bid award to the low bidder as tabulated
above.
Mr. Wiggins made the motion the bid award is accepted and confirmed
to the low bidder, Bankers Trust Company, in bid amount of $4,221,000
with interest rate of 2.94% and premium of $143.00.
Addendum No. 6 to the A reement for Engineering Services with Cole
ADDENDUM
Associates, R -57: Mr. Brownell explained that under Addendum No. 5
6 TO
to the Agreement for Engineering Services with Cole Associates,
AGREEMENT
the Addendum provided for the payment to the engineer for the pro-
WITH COLE
perty surveys to be increased from $35.00 to $50.00 per plotted lot.
ASSOCIATES
Last May, Mr. William J. Parrish requested 124 legal descriptions
APPROVED,
be forwarded to our office. Since Addendum No. 5 does not cover a
R -57
price for the preparation of descriptions only, the cost of $50.00
per parcel is too high for this service. Therefore, the request
is made that the Agreement be amended once again to provide for
payment to the Engineer for property surveys on the basis of the
actual hours required to make the survey and prepare the plat of
survey.
Mr. Brownell explained that under the $50.00 price, it would cost
$6,200 for these, and under this proposed Addendum No. 6, it will
:ost around $1,600 which is their actual time - -their time being
2-1/2 multiplier that is used. So we thoroughly recommend the
iddendum for Commission consideration.
. Wiggins made the motion for the approval of Addendum No. 6,
conded by Mr. Cira.
he Chair asked if there were any further questions or further
iscussions on this item, and Commissioner Wiggins asked Mr.
rownell if this will wind it up in the LaSalle Park Project?
r. Brownell said that it will pretty much; of course, we have
o have these on all the parcels that we have acquired and have
of sold, but if we acquire some more, we would have to have a
ew more but not very many.
he question on the adoption of the motion was unanimous in
avor of the adoption and the motion was carried.
tesolution No. 529: This Resolution authorizes the execution RESOLUTION
)f the Redevelopment Agreement for the disposition of land and NO. 529
;he execution of Quit -Claim Deed for the transfer of title thereto ADOPTED,
n connection with land to be disposed of in the LaSalle Park R -57
