<br />Mr. Roger Nawrot, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 10, 2019, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Nawrot
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />HRP Construction Co. Inc., 5777 Cleveland Rd., PO Box 266, South Bend, IN 46624, in the
<br />amount of $176,000. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted
<br />and the bid be awarded and the contract approved as outlined above. Ms. O'Sullivan seconded the
<br />motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT — SMALL DRAINAGE DESIGN AND REPAIR
<br />— SAMPSON AND OVERLOOK — PROJECT NO 118-063A (LRSA MAJOR CAPITAL)
<br />Ms. Sue Ellen Doudrick, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 10, 2019, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Doudrick
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />HRP Construction Inc., 5777 Cleveland Rd., PO Box 266, South Bend, IN 46624, in the amount
<br />of $224,180 for Division A and Alternate No. 1, subject to easement acquisition. Therefore, Ms.
<br />Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded and the
<br />contract approved as outlined above. Ms. O'Sullivan seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT — TWO-WAY CONVERSION OF COLFAX
<br />AVE., PHASE II — PROJECT NO 115-053B (RWDA TIF)
<br />Mr. Kyle Silveus, Engineering, advised the Board that on November 26, 2019, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Silveus
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Walsh & Kelly, Inc., 24358 State Road 23, South Bend, IN, 46614, in the amount of $594,900.
<br />Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be
<br />awarded and the contract approved as outlined above. Ms. O'Sullivan seconded the motion, which
<br />carried.

<br />Ms. Becca Plantz, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 10, 2019, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Plantz recommended
<br />that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder HRP
<br />Construction Inc., 5777 Cleveland Rd., PO Box 266, South Bend, IN 46624, in the amount of
<br />$264,471. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the
<br />bid be awarded and the contract approved as outlined above. Ms. O'Sullivan seconded the motion,
<br />which carried.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION — LIGHT -UP SOUTH BEND — LIGHTED DECORATIVE BOLLARD
<br />REPLACEMENTS —PROJECT NO 119-005B (COIT)
<br />Ms. Alicia Czarnecki, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 10, 2019, quotations were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations, Ms.
<br />Czarnecki recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, All Phase Electric Supply, 1385 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, IN 46628, in the
<br />amount of $1,936.25 each for a total of $29,043.75. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that
<br />the recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Ms. O'Sullivan
<br />seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION — WEST SIDE QUIET ZONE — COMMERCIAL DRIVE
<br />RELOCATION— PROJECT NO 120-011 (LRSA)
<br />Ms. Becca Plantz, Engineering, advised the Board that on December 10, 2019, quotations were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations, Ms.
<br />Plantz recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible
<br />bidder, Ritschard Brothers, Inc., 1204 W. Sample St., Mishawaka, IN 46544, in the amount of
<br />$49,380 subject to a legal access agreement. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Ms. O'Sullivan
<br />seconded the motion, which carried.
