<br />equested.of this Change Order, for an increase in contract amount
<br />f $75.00. The Contract was awarded to Ted Combs Decorating &
<br />onstruction Company in contract amount of $7,647.69 and with
<br />hange order increase the amended contract total is: $7,722.69,
<br />or rehabilitation work at 1121 South Carroll Street, in the
<br />loutheast Code Enforcement Program, Project E -7.
<br />he specifications called for replacing the front porch tongue
<br />nd groove deck and paint two coats. Mr. Johnson, Chief Inspec-
<br />or, in his memorandum stated after the existing deck was removed
<br />y the contractor, he found four 2" x 6" floor joists broken and
<br />ubmitted a request for this change order. A Chief Inspector's
<br />roceed Order was issued on June 9, 1976, in order to facilitate
<br />ompletion of the contract. Slatile Roofing & Sheet Metal Company
<br />,as contracted to do the work on the change order. The total con -
<br />ract price of $1,495.00 will be increased $75.00. Staff recommends
<br />his change order.

<br />ommissioner Wiggins questioned why the contractor is shown as Ted
<br />ombs Decorating & Construction Company and in the body of the
<br />etter it says that Slatile Roofing & Sheet Metal Company was con -
<br />racted to do the work for the change order. Mr. Crighton explained
<br />hat Ted Combs has the contract, but because of unresolved differ -
<br />nces between Mr. Combs and the homeowner, Mr. Combs opted to pull
<br />ut in doing the remaining work; Slatile is finishing up the contract,
<br />lthough Mr. Combs' bond, insurance, etc., is still in effect on this
<br />ontract No. 16. Commissioner Wiggins inquired if this now is satis-
<br />actory to the homeowner, and Mr. Crighton advised so far it is.
<br />r. Robinson made the motion that the increase be granted, seconded
<br />y Mr. Wiggins and carried, for the approval of Change Order No. 3
<br />o Rehabilitation Contract No. 16, for an increase in contract amount
<br />f $75.00, or an amended contract total of $7,722.69.

<br />approval was requested of this Change Order, for an increase in con-
<br />tract amount of $200.`00, (Contract: $39,391.00), or an amended con-
<br />tract total of $39,591.00, for rehabilitation work at: 1525 Swygart
<br />Avenue, on Contract No. 14 to be increased by $200.00 bringing the
<br />otal to $4,316.00, and contract completion date be extended until
<br />June 30, 1976, in the Southeast Community Development Housing Pro -
<br />ram, with Slatile Roofing & Sheet Metal Company.
