Change Order No. l to Rehabilitation Contract No. 45: Commis- CHANGE ORDER <br />sion approval was requested for this Change Order, with Barany NO.. 1 TO <br />Sheet Metal & Heating.Company, which is for an increase in CONTRACT NO. <br />contract amount of $970.50, (Contract: $5,844.00), or an 45 APPROVED, <br />amended contract total of: $6,814.50, for rehabilitation work SOUTHEAST <br />at: 706 East Wenger Street, Southeast Project E -7. PROJECT E -7 <br />The original inspection did not cover the additional items in <br />the change order. Upon review at the time the Notice to Proceed <br />was issued by the Southeast Bureau of Housing, it was found that <br />repair of the items deleted was not warranted, and, in fact, <br />some of the items had been repaired since the time of the initial <br />inspection. The deleted items total twenty (20) and is a de- <br />crease to the contract in amount of $1,860.00; the additional <br />items total nine (9) and is an increase to the contract in <br />amount of $2,830.50, for an amended contract total of: $6,814.50. <br />The difference in the deletion and addition items is $970.50 in- <br />crease. <br />Mr. Donaldson moved for the approval <br />Rehabilitation Contract No. 45, with <br />Company, for an increase in contract <br />amended contract total of $6,814.50, <br />time, in the Southeast Project E -7. <br />and carried. <br />of Change Order No. l to <br />Barany Sheet Metal & Heating <br />amount of $970.50, or an <br />with no change in contract <br />Motion seconded by Mr. Wiggins <br />d. Change Order No. 1 to Rehabilitaton Contract No. 47: Commission <br />approval was requested for this Change Order, with Ted Combs De- <br />corating & Construction Company, which is for an increase in <br />contract amount of $185.00, (Contract: $2,026.40), or an amended <br />contract total of: $2,211.40, for rehabilitation work at: <br />621 East Dayton Street, Southeast Project E -7. <br />The specifications called for re- roofing the structure and in- <br />stalling metal edging. The contractor, while in the process of <br />re- roofing the structure, found that the rafters were only <br />2 x 4's, spanning approximately 13 feet. In order to prevent <br />further sagging caused by the additional weight of the new roof <br />and workmen installing the roof, a proceed order was issued for <br />the contractor to brace up the roof. Mr. Ken Schaller advised <br />the contractor braced it up with 2 x 4's-- braced from the roof <br />rafters right to the joists, running across the top.
