We have reached what appears to be a satisfactory
R -66
agreement, and this morning would suggest to the Commission that
they may want to approve the agreement and authorize the Presi-
dent and Secretary to execute the agreement on behalf of the
Commission, subject to Legal Counsel and HUD approval.
Motion was made by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Cira, to
authorize the officers of the Commission to execute the Contract
for the Sale of Land for Private Redevelopment with the St.
Joseph River Bend Development Corporation for Disposition Parcel
No. 6 -1, Project Indiana R -66. Simpson said he would like to get this resolved one way or
nother this morning, and that he had met with Mr. Terry Warner
,ho is the manufacturer's representative. Mr. Simpson said he
s satisfied after talking with him and Bob Goodrich of the
ecreation Department that it is a reputable firm and they are
eliable. The representative said they tested this type of
aminated benches under very extreme elements - -very extreme
onditions- -and they won't come apart. It would take a power
hisel to break it The firm guaranteed that there is no
roblem and that it would be ridiculous to put bolts through
- 5 -
