PROGRESS REPORTS (Cont'd). <br />Orange - Colfax Connector: January 6 through January 10, <br />1975, the Relocation Officers, at the request of <br />Mr. Farrand, City Engineer, conducted a survey in <br />the Orange Street area. Two families and two indi- <br />viduals are to be relocated. One house is vacant. <br />All required information submitted to: Mr. Gary <br />West of Cole Associates, Inc., on January 22, 1975. <br />Michigan -Main Connector: Meeting was held with engineers, <br />Messrs.Farrand and Middleton, regarding a survey to <br />be conducted by the Relocation Office. Relocation <br />Officers are to obtain all information required for <br />a 12b relocation report on each of the alternate <br />routes submitted for the Michigan -Main Connector. <br />6) Other: <br />Indiana Bell Relocation Claim: <br />Mr. C. Wayne Brownell, Executive Director, advised INDIANA BELL <br />he has been notified by Indiana Bell about their RELOCATION <br />claim for relocation expense and has referred the CLAIM <br />letter to our Legal Counsel. Mr. Brownell said he <br />wrote a letter to Indiana Bell and advised them <br />their claim has been referred to Counsel who will <br />report back to us. Staff is working on information <br />to report to Counsel. <br />Mr. Brownell advised two claims have been filed by <br />Indiana Bell, and he has written HUD again for a <br />report. Relocation money is budgeted but Mr. Brownell <br />said he wanted to be sure we will be reimbursed be- <br />fore we pay any relocation expense. We want to be <br />sure these expenses are approved by our attorneys as <br />well as HUD. The monies budgeted are 100% federal <br />money, which we do not get unless we spend it. We <br />would then be reimbursed. <br />Lengthy discussion followed on the subject and re- <br />ferrals to previous discussions. <br />This is in process and our Legal Counsel is working <br />on it. <br />JESTION AND ANSWER SESSION: <br />Mr. Karl King asked if there is any starting date on the PLAZA PARK <br />West River Bank construction of the Park? CONTRACT <br />A. Mr. Brownell advised the West River Bank Plaza Park <br />Contract has been submitted to HUD for approval and <br />has not yet been returned, so we cannot schedule a date. <br />- 16 - <br />
