6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont'd <br />is stopping the contractor from even completing the work <br />and they can't even get an estimate. <br />The change order will be presented for the actual work <br />needed. <br />c Report on Redevelopment Cars: Letter was hand - delivered REPORT REQUESTED <br />this morning prior to the meeting, addressed to Mr. F. Jay ON REDEVELOPMENT <br />Nimtz, President of the Redevelopment Commission, along CARS <br />with a copy to Mr. C. Wayne Brownell, from Mr. Roger 0. <br />Parent, President of the Common Council, on this subject. <br />Mr. Brownell read the letter in its entirety. The letter <br />stated that allegations have been made about the use of <br />vehicles which are under the jurisdiction of the Redevelop- <br />ment Department. In order to clarify the situation, a re- <br />port is requested to be made available to the Common Council <br />and the public, to focus on four (4) issues stated. <br />Mr. Brownell suggested, if agreeable to the Commission, the <br />staff will prepare a report for the Commissioners to be <br />presented at the next meeting for Commission approval. <br />Commissioner Wiggins said we have been around and around <br />this car business from time to time for a number of years, <br />and this is one of the things that has been continually <br />coming up. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney and <br />carried, the Executive Director and staff are to make a <br />full investigation and a complete report to this Commission <br />at our next Commission meeting. <br />d Resolution No. 510: This Resolution authorizes the exe- RESOLUTION NO. <br />cution of the Redevelopment Agreement for the disposition 510 ADOPTED <br />of land and the execution of a quit -claim deed for the <br />transfer of title thereto in connection with portion of <br />Parcel No. 14 -11, north.10 feet of this parcel, in acquisi- <br />tion amount of $106.00, in the LaSalle Park Urban Renewal <br />Project, Indiana R -57. <br />On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr. Wiggins and carried, <br />Resolution No. 510 was adopted. <br />e Jerome Crowley et al, Cause No. F -683: Mr. Charles A. JEROME CROWLEY <br />Sweeney, Legal Counsel, requested formal authorization to ET AL, CAUSE <br />settle condemnation suit: Crowley Realty Corporation NO. F -683, <br />settlement in amount of $276,500.00, and Gambles House of SETTLEMENT <br />Fabric for irremovable fixture claims, in amount of $8,500.00, APPROVED <br />on Parcel No. 8 -14, located at 114 South Michigan Street, <br />(Gamble - Skogmo, Inc., tenant). <br />- 13 - <br />
