7. <br />BUSINESS (Cont'd <br />Another motion was requested for the landscape contract- - <br />Contract No. 2. <br />Mr. Wiggins moved that we award Contract No. 2 to the <br />lowest bidder, Robert Foegley Landscaping, in bid amount <br />of $26,323.75. Motion was seconded by Mr. Wade and <br />carried. This is also subject to HUD approval and Com- <br />mission Legal Counsel. <br />Model Cities Code Enforcement Program - Contract, E -6: <br />Authorization was requested to enter into a contract <br />with the City of South Bend for the Model Cities Code <br />Enforcement Program, E -6, subject to the approval of <br />Legal Counsel and Executive Director, not to exceed <br />$392,697.00 (Model Cities funds), with contract period <br />to complete performance no later than June 30, 1975. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Donaldson, <br />the above contract was approved, not to exceed <br />$392,697.00, with contract period to complete per - <br />formance no later than June 30, 1975, subject to <br />Legal Counsel and Executive Director approval, and <br />the President and Secretary authorized to execute. <br />Workshop Seminar: Authorization was requested for <br />our E.E.O. Officer, Mr. Frank Alford, to attend a <br />three -day workshop seminar on equal employment and <br />affirmative action, in Indianapolis, on January 27, <br />28 and 29, 1975. <br />Mr. Brownell advised this is based on the letter from <br />Governor Otis R. Bowen, M.D., to Mayor Jerry J. Miller <br />of South Bend, inviting attendance at an equal employ- <br />ment and affirmative action workshop. It is proposed <br />to have Mr. Frank Alford attend this session if Com- <br />mission approves. <br />On motion by Mr. Wade, seconded by Mr. Wiggins and <br />carried, Mr. Frank Alford was authorized to attend <br />the above workshop seminar. <br />8. OROGRESS REPORTS <br />River Bend Plaza Schedule Report, Project Ind. R -66: <br />Mr. Louis N. Wilcox, Director of the River Bend Plaza <br />Office, advised in line with the conversation earlier <br />on the phasing out and the Redevelopment's responsi- <br />bility in downtown, we are actively looking for new <br />quarters for the River Bend Plaza Office.
