2. $ WEARING -IN OF COMMISSIONERS BY CHIEF DEPUTY CITY CLERK (Cont'd <br />r. B. L. Wade was sworn in as a Commissioner, by the Deputy City <br />lerk, Ms. Mary Ann Ryback, on Friday, December 27, 1974, as Mr. <br />ade was planning to be out of town for this morning's meeting. <br />ngratulations were extended to the Commissioners. <br />3. ELECTION OF OFFICERS <br />e Temporary Chairman, Mr. Kevin J. Butler, Commission Legal <br />unsel, opened the nominations for the offices: <br />) PRESIDENT: <br />Mr. Wiggins nominated Mr. F. Jay Nimtz, to serve as <br />President of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission. <br />Motion was seconded by Mr. Donaldson and unanimously <br />carried. <br />) VICE PRESIDENT: <br />Mr. Wiggins nominated Mr. John E. Chenney, to serve as <br />Vice President of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission. <br />Motion was seconded by Mr. Nimtz and unanimously carried. <br />) SECRETARY: <br />Mr. Chenney nominated Mr. Donald A. Wiggins, to serve as <br />Secretary of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission. <br />Motion was seconded by Mr. Nimtz and unanimously carried. <br />) ASSISTANT SECRETARY: <br />Mr. Nimtz nominated Mr. B. L. Wade, to serve as the Assis- <br />tant Secretary of the South Bend Redevelopment. Commission. <br />Motion was seconded by Mr. Donaldson and unanimously carried. <br />. Kevin J. Butler, at this point, relinquished the Temporary <br />airmanship to the newly- elected President of the Redevelopment <br />mmission, Mr. -F. Jay Nimtz, to again serve the Chairmanship for <br />e year, 1975. <br />4. 4PPOINTMENT OF LEGAL COUNSEL AND STAFF <br />resident Nimtz opened the nominations for: <br />) LEGAL COUNSEL: <br />Mr. Chenney nominated Mr. Kevin J. Butler, to be retained <br />as Commission Legal Counsel, for the calendar year of <br />1975, authorizing the President and Secretary to enter <br />into the usual contract with the attorney. Motion was se- <br />conded by Mr. Donaldson and unanimously carried. <br />- 2 - <br />
