This was authorized by Commissioners
in meeting of August 16, 1974.
After working with Circle Lumber to enter into a contract,
they withdrew their bid in letter dated September 24 as
discussed and noted in Commission meeting of October 4,
advising us that after much deliberation they decided they
had better turn down the three (3) jobs on Iowa Street, as
they felt they could not satisfy the owners.
Woodcox Building Contractor, Inc., in their letter dated
October 16, advised due to existing conditions, they do not
feel they can give a firm bid to restore the homes. The
only possible way would be on a cost plus basis. They feel
they can restore the homes but that there are many uncertain
factors which could not be priced out with any exactness.
- 5 -
