5. OLD BUSINESS (Cont'd) Contract Extension for Director of'Rivee Bend Plaza: 6. Commission approval was requested for-the'—extension of contract for Mr. Louis N. Wilcox, as Director, for the River Bend Plaza Office, from September 1, 1974, to December 31, 1974.. Mr. Lennon advised this is pursuant to the Commissioners' request, and that Mr. Wilcox has been able to agree to a contract with Mr. Welber of Robertson's, and Mr. Wilcox will now be able to continue working on the Plaza, at one -half time, until the end of this year. On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr. Wiggins and unanimously carried, the extension of time to the present contract we now have with Mr. Louis N. Wilcox, as the Director for the River Bend Plaza Office, has been approved to be extended from September 1, 1974, to December 31, 1974, with the same provisions. CONTRACT EXTENSION APPROVED FOR DIREC TOR, RIVER BEND PLAZA OFFICE R -57 LaSalle Park Project Complaints -- Rehabilitation LASALLE PARK Contracts: Mr. Lennon advised that of the 47 individuals REHABILITATION with complaints filed on their rehabilitation contracts, COMPLAINTS, R -57 in the LaSalle Park Urban Renewal Project, Indiana R -57, that all have been taken care of-- either at their expense, or at our expense -- depending on what the particular con- cern was, with the exception of three homes on Iowa Street, (301, 305 and 309), where some of the additional work was done on muck land and unstable ground. These three on Iowa Street are being contracted out to Circle Lumber, Inc., and, as of the August 20th minutes, we do have a contract with each of those. This is an update for the Commissioners. Commissioner Wiggins asked if the Pope family is included in one of the three above contracts? Mr. Lennon advised that they are not. Commissioner Wiggins then asked if the Pope matter has been resolved? Commissioner Chenney said, "No, and that it probably never will be either." Mr. Lennon said that the Popes were not included on the original complaint, but that he is in a case all by him- self. Mr. Lennon advised that he has instructed the staff, on any future contacts, to either tape or to have a witness with them on all future negotiations, as Mr. Pope appears to have a short memory.
