7. NEW BUSINESS (Coh t'd <br />On motion by Rev. Williams, seconded by Mr. Wiggins <br />and unanimously carried, the contract was awarded <br />to the low bidder, Circle Lumber, Inc., for correc- <br />tion of rehabilitation work, for Parcel Nos. 38 -16, <br />38 -17 and 38 -18, in bid amount of $11,499.00. <br />Because of the nature of the contract and the diffi- <br />culty in the refurbishing work, the first contract will <br />be reviewed for reconsideration of a time and materials <br />plus 15% contract on the other two parcels. <br />Retail Wig Shop Commercial Lease: Authorization was LEASE TERMINATION <br />requested to terminate lease with Seung Hong, for NOTICE AUTHORIZED <br />property located at 327 South Michigan Street, and to <br />give thirty (30) days' notice to tenant effective <br />September 30, 1974. <br />This is a month -to -month lease for the rental of the <br />above unit, in amount of $100.00 per month, for business <br />firm known as the Retail Wig Shop. The lease term <br />started December 1, 1972 (dated November 15, 1972). <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Rev. Williams <br />and unanimously carried, authorization was given <br />to issue the above tenant thirty (30) days' notice <br />to vacate. This building is on the demolition con- <br />tract. <br />Delinquent Rent Write -Offs: Authorization was re- DELINQUENT <br />quested to write off the following delinquent rents: RENT WRITE -OFFS <br />1) Mr. Kenneth Harris, <br />222 East Elder Street <br />Project: A -10, SE #1 $ 20.50 <br />2) Mr. Richard Reeves, <br />138 South Iowa Street <br />Project: R -57 63.00 <br />Mr. John A. Kotzenmacher, Director of Property <br />Management Division, had requested the write -offs <br />and that every effort was extended by our _department <br />to collect the past -due rent -- letters and personal <br />calls were made without success. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Rev. Williams <br />and unanimously carried, the above uncollectible <br />rents were authorized to be written off. <br />
