7. PROGRESS REPORTS (Cont' <br />In re erence to President Helmen's question on the guarantee <br />for the pressed brick used, the guarantee is on file. Mr. <br />Brownell said he is of the understanding that Hickey has re- <br />ceived a five -year guarantee from Whitacre- Greer. A letter is <br />also on file regarding the maintenance of the terrazzo, on <br />which only neutral soap and not acids or detergents are to be <br />used, to not harm both the finish or he cement. This letter <br />is from the Art Mosaic & Tile Company of South Bend, dated <br />June 24, 1974. <br />Mr. L nnon had advised, in the Executive Session with the <br />publi present, that we should go on record and request a <br />chang order be written to clear the matter up. This item <br />was i serted on the Agenda, under New Business, 6b, and a <br />chang order was authorized to be written - -to be designated <br />as Ch nge Order No. 16 - -to correct the error in technicality <br />to sh )w Whitacre -Greer bricks were used and not Hastings <br />extru ed brick as noted in the specifications. <br />.__ Southeast Side Housing Project, Indiana E -7: SOUTHEAST SIDE <br />HOUSING PROJECT, <br />Mr. Lennon advised the staff has been hired and INDIANA E -7 <br />Mr. Hollis Hughes will serve as the Director of the Bureau_ <br />of Ho sing. The E -7 Project will be under the jurisdiction <br />of Mr Bill Ellison as Project Manager. We hope to have <br />initi 1 inspections under way by August 1. <br />. Staff Reports: <br />1) Merry Avenue Project: MERRY AVENUE PROJECT <br />Mr. Lawrence E. Wartha, Assistant Director of <br />Admin- stration and Finance, submitted a written report for <br />this roject: <br />relocation remaining--Madison Scott. <br />ix condemnation cases were reported last month. Money <br />as been paid into court on two, leaving four county - <br />wned properties. <br />our structures remain to be demolished. <br />2) Rehabilitation Report: This report is forth- REHABILITATION <br />comin from Mr. William C. Ellison, Assistant Director in REPORT <br />the 0 eration Division: <br />E -5 P oject: Rehabilitation work at 1015 -1/2 Colfax Avenue. <br />Delay was on aluminum siding; however, this <br />work should be completed within two weeks. <br />-8- <br />
